"NDSBA is an organization composed of elected school board members from across the state. We have a professional staff ready to assist members in a variety of school-related areas. As president of NDSBA, I welcome your suggestions and ideas. It is my hope to serve in a way that provides what is prudent for the academic success of the students of North Dakota. I encourage all board members to participate in the professional development opportunities provided by NDSBA and to take advantage of the many resources offered through the association."

The North Dakota School Boards Association is a leading advocate for public education. NDSBA is governed by a board of seven local school board members elected by their peers. Staff members have many years of experience in school-related work and, by working cooperatively with school board members around the state, combine to form an effective voice for public education. NDSBA exists to serve the needs of school leaders in areas of board training, information, and presentations.

It is the philosophy of the North Dakota School Boards Association that boards and board members are first and foremost concerned about the quality of education that the young people of North Dakota receive through the public elementary and secondary schools under their governance.
